This album is the real shit. In most of the music I listen to, when they sing about rebellion and fighting against The System I know that they don't really mean it. They just want to sound cool. Bob Vylan believes in what they sing, and what they discuss are real issues. You can probably get this unfiltered social commentary from any small punk band but Bob Vylan is so poetic and well-spoken in a way that only comes from real talent. Even though the USA and UK are seperated by the Atlantic Ocean when I listen to these songs I feel that they are describing the world I see when I look out my window. Perhaps some day I will complete the Bob Vylan reading list.
